Developers Assure Safety of Properties After Cebu Earthquake

Following the recent earthquake that shook parts of Cebu, several major property developers have released official statements assuring the public and their clients that all their buildings have been thoroughly inspected and remain structurally sound and safe for occupancy.

Among the developers who issued statements were Priland Development Corporation (developer of Paseo Gorve and Vertex Central), Primeworld Land Holdings (developer of Primeworld Pointe), Cebu Landmasters (developer of Casa Mira Guadalupe Towers 2 & 3), King Properties (developer of The Highline), and Sterling Land Residences and Development, Inc. (developer of Skyline Residences).

According to their respective property management and engineering teams, immediate inspections were conducted right after the earthquake to assess the condition of their ongoing and completed projects. The results confirmed that there were no structural damages and that all buildings remain safe and secure.

In their official statement, the developers collectively reassured their clients, homeowners, and investors that safety remains their top priority. Regular inspections and strict adherence to national building standards were also emphasized as part of their ongoing commitment to ensuring the integrity of their developments.

“We want to assure all our clients and residents that our buildings have undergone a comprehensive post-earthquake assessment,” one statement read. “All our structures are safe, stable, and free from any form of damage. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for the well-being of everyone who lives and works in our developments.”

These assurances came amid growing concern among property owners and residents across the province following the tremor. With these inspections completed, the developers encouraged the public to remain calm and confident in the safety of their projects

As Cebu continues to move forward after the earthquake, the collective efforts and transparency of these developers reinforce a shared goal — to provide secure, resilient, and well-built communities for every Cebuano.
