In the wake of the recent earthquake that struck Cebu and its northern areas, the Cebuano spirit of bayanihan once again came to life. From private citizens and volunteers to business sectors and organizations, countless individuals joined hands to provide much-needed assistance to families affected by the disaster.
Various private companies, schools, universities, and real estate developers immediately mobilized their teams to send volunteers and deliver relief goods to the affected communities. Essential supplies such as food packs, bottled water, hygiene kits, and clothing were distributed to help those whose homes and livelihoods were disrupted by the quake.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the earthquake,” a representative from one of the real estate firms shared. “As part of the Cebuano community, we believe it is our duty to extend help in any way we can. Even small acts of kindness can make a big difference to those in need.”
Residents and local volunteers expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and cooperation from different sectors. Many said the swift response and generosity of Cebuanos eased their worries and gave them renewed hope amid difficult circumstances.
