Cebu Pacific Cancels and Reduces International Flights Amid Operational Adjustments

Budget airline Cebu Pacific is reducing its international flight operations as part of efforts to manage fuel consumption, a move that may inconvenience travelers from key provincial hubs.

According to the airline, several routes from Cebu, Clark, Davao, Iloilo, and Manila will either be suspended or scaled back to help lower fuel expenses. These adjustments come amid a sharp rise in global fuel prices.

As part of these changes, Cebu Pacific will temporarily suspend its Davao–Bangkok route from April 13 to October 23. Consequently, Davao will be left with only one remaining international route operated by the airline—a thrice-weekly service to Hong Kong.

Similarly, flights between Iloilo and Bangkok will be halted from April 17 to October 24. In addition, weekly flights connecting Iloilo to Singapore will be discontinued from June 15 until October 24. As a result, Iloilo will also retain just one international route, which is the three-times-a-week service to Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, operations from Clark will also be affected. Cebu Pacific will suspend its Clark–Hanoi flights from May 2 to October 25. Despite this, the airline will continue to operate four international routes from Clark, namely Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.

With these reductions across provincial hubs, passengers traveling from these areas may need to route through Manila for their international trips.

In Manila, Cebu Pacific will also implement several schedule adjustments. Flights to Jakarta will be reduced to four times weekly from April 16 to October 25. Likewise, services to Kuala Lumpur will be cut to five times a week starting April 15 until October 24.

Additionally, flights from Manila to Melbourne will be reduced to four times weekly during selected periods in May. Services to Sydney will also be scaled back, operating five times a week throughout the same month.

To accommodate affected passengers, Cebu Pacific is offering flexible options. Travelers may rebook their flights without additional charges within 30 days from their original schedule. Alternatively, they may convert their tickets into travel credits or request a full refund.
